Burst pipes, failed flexi hoses and sewage backing up. Answered 24 hours across Seven Hills, and we will get the water off before anybody leaves the yard.

Emergency call-outs

Hot Water

Gas, electric, heat pump and solar. Sydney water is soft, so what finishes a tank here is a spent anode or a dead element, and both are frequently repairs.

Gas Fitting

What a plumber costs in Seven Hills

You will struggle to find another plumber publishing numbers. These are 2026 Sydney starting figures and they are here to be used as a benchmark against anybody's quote. That covers the van at the door and the trade's hourly rate. Job-by-job figures sit on each service page.

01

Getting someone out: $0–$180

Comes to nothing on bookings originating here. Any other route and the usual Sydney attendance fee applies, typically at the top of that range.

02

The hourly rate you will be quoted elsewhere: $100–$150

Daytime market rate. Most quotes are silently constructed from it. Ours are not, and the note beneath sets out why.

03

After hours, weekends and holidays: $180–$250

The uplift the trade applies after hours and at weekends. Ours is nil. The figure was settled before the van left.

04

A typical emergency repair: $250–$700

A flat agreed number to make a burst safe, clear a line, or shut down a gas fault. No clock and nothing added at the end.

05

Your fixed price: agreed first

Given in writing before work starts. Anything found that alters the scope halts the job until you have approved a revised figure.

Look at the two centre cards as market data, not as our prices. When you buy an hour, what you have bought is an hour. Whether the problem is gone at the end of it is a separate matter, and on set material those two things diverge badly. We price the work rather than the hours, so the figure you approve is the figure you settle. On a blockage that has set hard that matters more than usual, because the honest method is slower and we would rather carry that than sell you a cable that will not work. Where you already know what you need, the real figures live on the blocked drains, pipe relining, burst pipes and leaks, hot water and gas fitting pages.

The difference between a plumber and a licensed plumber.

Anyone can call themselves a plumber. A licensed one carries a NSW licence number, real insurance, and the legal accountability that comes with both, so when a gas job is certified or a repair signed off, it actually means something.

Licensed in NSW and fully insured, working houses and workshops across this suburb week after week. Australian Standards throughout, and a lifetime workmanship warranty in writing.

Plumbing in Seven Hills

Most blockages are soft. Wipes, fat and hair collect in a line, a cable goes through them and the job is done in an hour. Then there is the other kind. Plaster and render washout, tile adhesive, grout slurry, concrete washout and paint all go down a drain perfectly easily and then set hard inside it. That is not the same problem and it does not clear the same way, and in a suburb sitting alongside one of western Sydney's larger industrial areas we see the commercial version of it as often as the domestic one. Across Sydney's north west, a licensed local plumber is only minutes away, same-day and 24/7 for genuine emergencies.

Common plumbing problems we see in Seven Hills

  • Some blockages are not soft. Plaster, render washout, tile adhesive, grout slurry, concrete washout and paint all go down a drain easily and then set hard inside it.
  • Hot water systems giving out. Soft water means a dead unit here has lost its anode or an element rather than filled with scale. Gas, electric, heat pump and solar, repaired where a repair is honest and replaced where it is not, frequently the same day.
  • Ageing galvanised & earthenware pipe. Older homes in Kings Langley, Constitution Hill and Toongabbie still run on steel and clay pipe that rusts, roots and splits over time.
  • Gas fitting & compliance. Cooktops, heaters and gas lines across postwar housing and light industrial premises alike. Our licensed fitters size it, install it and certify it on the day.
  • A cable is the wrong tool for them. It cuts through wipes and hair. Put through cured material it can polish the inside rather than clear it, leaving a smaller hole and a bigger bill.
  • So the camera decides the method. Jetting, cutting, or replacing a section. Which of those is right depends entirely on what is actually in the pipe, and that is a thing to look at rather than guess.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you're tied up right now, leave your details and we'll call you straight back as soon as possible.

Still have a question? Licensed plumber van servicing Seven Hills
How much does a plumber charge per hour in Seven Hills?

Expect to hear $100 to $150 an hour quoted around Sydney. Accurate, and no use for budgeting, since nobody can tell you in advance how many hours your job takes. We quote the whole job, up front, and that is the number.

How fast can you get to me in Seven Hills?

Genuinely urgent work gets a target of under an hour to the door, throughout Seven Hills and the north west streets around it, at any time on any day.

Do you charge a call-out fee?

Every charge is spoken aloud on the phone before we set off. There is nothing on the invoice you have not already heard. Booked here, there is no attendance charge to hear.

How do I know you're a licensed plumber?

NSW Licence 368473C. The Fair Trading register confirms it in about a minute, and that minute is worth spending on anybody you let onto the property. Unlicensed plumbing is illegal in NSW and voids a home insurance claim. Ours prints on every quote.

My hot water system failed and it isn't that old. Why?

Soft water is the reason. Where the supply is hard, a tank silts up with scale and that ends it. Sydney's is not like that, so the sacrificial anode is consumed protecting the steel and the tank starts corroding once it is gone, or an element burns out. Neither is automatically a replacement.

Why does it matter what caused the blockage, if it is blocked either way?

Because the cause decides the method, and getting that wrong wastes a visit. Wipes, fat and hair are soft, and a cable cuts straight through them. Plaster, tile adhesive, grout and concrete washout are not soft once they have gone off. A cable put through cured material can polish the inside of it and leave you with a smaller hole rather than an open pipe. That is why we film it before deciding, and why the first question is whether anybody has been renovating.

Do you work on heritage and conservation-area homes?

Seven Hills station opened in 1860 on the Main Western line, and the suburb that grew around it now sits alongside one of the larger industrial and light industrial areas in western Sydney. That is genuinely relevant to plumbing here, because it means both kinds of work exist side by side: houses on one street and premises with pre-treatment devices on the next, and the rules for the two are not the same.

What is pre-treatment, and does it apply to a house?

No, and that is the point of the comparison. A business discharging anything other than ordinary domestic sewage needs the water authority's approval and appropriate pre-treatment before it reaches the sewer: a grease arrestor for food premises, an oil and water separator for a workshop, a solids trap where the discharge carries material. Those devices exist because that material is not supposed to enter the system. A house has no such device, which is exactly why renovation washout going down a domestic drain is a problem rather than a shortcut.

What areas around Seven Hills do you cover?

The whole Seven Hills LGA and every suburb around it: Constitution Hill, Kings Langley, Lalor Park, Pendle Hill, Toongabbie, Constitution Hill, Kings Langley, Kings Langley and more.

Hot water systems we service and replace

More of our diary goes to hot water than anything else. Around here that means electric storage across a lot of the postwar housing, gas on properties connected for it, and continuous flow anywhere a cylinder had to come off the floor. These are the makes. Repairing and replacing hot water systems is most of what we do here, and we are straight about what each job costs and the age at which a unit stops being worth fixing.

We service and replace these systems as an independent licensed plumber. We are not an agent for, or endorsed by, any of these manufacturers.
